Chromo sulfate board

Chromo sulfate board is significantly more rigid and durable than standard coated paper. It stands out due to its high whiteness, excellent printability, and strong suitability for a wide range of finishing techniques. CMYK printing, embossing, and coatings such as UV or dispersion varnish can all be applied with outstanding results.

The material is produced by heating pulp in a sodium hydroxide solution for several hours. This process removes lignin from the cell walls, resulting in a more flexible and workable paper structure. Additionally, one side of the board is coated to enhance its surface quality. Chromo sulfate board is a solid choice if you are looking for a sturdy material that still offers good value for money. For more environmentally conscious applications, recycled paper can be a suitable alternative worth considering.

This material is commonly used for folders and similar products. However, it is important to distinguish chromo sulfate board from laminated materials in terms of overall quality, durability, and performance. Even at a grammage of 380 gsm, it does not achieve the same level of rigidity as premium laminated presentation folders made from coated paper, fine linen, or leather fiber materials. These differences are not only noticeable in stability but also in tactile feel and visual appearance, which explains the price variation.
