Metallic is applied as a laminated cover material to both sides of a 1–2 mm thick bookbinding board. This creates a stable, durable, and premium-looking surface that is ideal for high-quality packaging, folders, and presentation products.

The material is available in eight metallic finishes: Crystal, Aluminium, Mineral, Platinum, Polar, Basalt, Patina, and Sand Gold. Each finish has its own character, ranging from cool and technical to warm, elegant, or understated.

Depending on the chosen colour combination, Metallic can create very different visual effects. Light shades such as Crystal, Polar, or Aluminium produce a clean, modern, and refined impression, while darker tones such as Basalt or Patina give the packaging a more striking and sophisticated look. Warm metallic shades such as Sand Gold are especially suitable for designs that should appear exclusive, elegant, and high-end.

For packaging applications, Metallic is particularly effective when a product needs to be presented with a premium, durable, and contemporary appearance. The reflective surface gives boxes, slipcases, folders, and rigid packaging a distinctive look without relying on full-surface printed graphics. Metallic works especially well in combination with glossy hot foil stamping. The reflective quality of the foil complements the metallic surface and creates a refined visual and tactile effect. Tone-on-tone foil stamping can produce a subtle and elegant result, while strong contrasts can make logos, lettering, or graphic elements stand out more clearly.
