Quantities

In the printing and production industry, this term refers to the number of items produced in a single print run.

Further Details

Depending on the scope and complexity of a project, a surplus (a small overrun) must be factored into production. In publishing, the term “edition” also refers to the version number of a publication, such as first edition, second edition, and so on.

Minimum Order Quantities at cardstock

  • Folders & binders: 200 units (excluding coated paper materials)
  • Premium packaging: 200 units
  • Other products: upon request

As a general rule: the higher the print run, the lower the cost per unit. This is particularly relevant in the premium packaging sector, where smaller quantities—such as 200 units—can only be produced at a certain price level due to setup and pre-production efforts. For quantities below the minimum order, a small-quantity surcharge is typically applied. This surcharge varies depending on the type and complexity of the project.

I’m interested in cardstock products but don’t need a large quantity yet—what are my options?

We recommend reaching out to one of our service representatives and outlining your project requirements. It can also be beneficial to plan ahead and produce a larger quantity, storing unused items for future use. This approach ensures better cost efficiency and provides greater planning security over time.
